Samanvay Pratishthan
Chairman's Message

Samanvay Pratishthan, established in 2003, is a dedicated non-governmental organization working toward holistic community development across Maharashtra. Founded by Late Hon. Shri Vasantrao Davkhare, the respected former Deputy Chairman of the Maharashtra Legislative Council (1998), the organization carries forward his legacy of public service with the guiding principle: “Sevecha Nirantar Dhyas” — a continuous pursuit of service.

Established with the vision of creating an inclusive and empowered society, we work at the grassroots level to bring meaningful change to underserved communities. Rooted in the belief that empowerment begins with education and opportunity, Samanvay Pratishthan focuses on four core areas: education, women empowerment, cultural enrichment, and sports development. Through our wide-ranging programs, we aim to nurture individuals, preserve cultural heritage, and promote social equity.

One of our flagship initiatives is the successful operation of the Shri Vasantrao Davkhare Memorial School, a CBSE-affiliated school in Shirur Taluka of Pune District, offering quality education to rural students and laying a strong foundation for their future. In addition, our outreach spans multiple districts including Thane, Palghar, Pune, Raigad, Sindhudurg, and Ratnagiri, where we work closely with local communities to deliver meaningful impact.

To empower students from underprivileged backgrounds, Samanvay Pratishthan regularly distributes stationery and study material to various government and non-government schools.

Each year, 125 teachers and 10 exemplary institution heads from the Konkan region are honored with the Vasant Smriti Award for excellence in education, following a rigorous selection process conducted by Samanvay Pratishthan.

For the past six years, the Konkan Divisional Swimming Competition has been held annually by the Trust in Thane. Participants from across the region compete for the coveted title, and students eagerly mark this event as a highlight in their calendars.

To preserve and promote the rich tradition of Warkari Sampradaya music and art, Samanvay Pratishthan organizes a Bhajan Competition, where over 30 groups participate each year, creating a day-long celebration of devotional music for patrons in Thane. Continuing its cultural mission, Samanvay Pratishthan plays a leading role in organizing the legendary Shobha Yatra during the Gudi Padwa festival in Thane. The Trust manages refreshments and volunteers for various activities as part of its ongoing commitment.

During Shivratri, the organization hosts a grand Havan, which has become a popular fixture in Thane’s festive calendar. Devotees from across the country attend this day-long celebration, which blends spiritual devotion with a sense of community.

Our current initiatives are guided by the vision of our Chairman, Adv. Niranjan Davkhare, and are diligently supported by Mrs. Nilima N. Davkhare (Secretary) and Mrs. Archana P. Tithe (Treasurer). The managing trustees also include Mr. Nandu P. Dhanavade, Mr. Prakash T. Tithe, and Mr. Prabhakar A. Lele.

With a team of dedicated volunteers, educators, and social workers, we design and implement programs that are need-based, community-driven, and impact-oriented. We work hand in hand with local stakeholders to ensure that our efforts are sustainable and resonate with the unique cultural and social fabric of the communities we serve.

Our journey is fueled by compassion, collaboration, and the unwavering belief that positive change is possible when people unite for a shared goal.
